Strategic Sourcing Plan
The strategic sourcing plan or strategic planning process is a procurement tool used for for planning, managing and monitoring risk and gaining best value for money. Procurement tools can be successfully applied to the planning and management of any event management activity. To demonstrate this, I have applied the sourcing plan to managing a large scale wedding.
I have outlined below, five headings to include in your sourcing plan: executive summary, introduction, objectives, specification and budget. A sourcing plan is a useful tool to complete prior to a competitive bid process.
