Multidisciplinary Temporary staffing Healthcare Personnel Framework to be re-tendered in 2019
The new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework agreement Health Sector Resourcing will replace the existing CCS framework: Multidisciplinary Temporary Healthcare Personnel when it expires on the 31st August 2019.
The CCS framework agreement Multidisciplinary Temporary Healthcare Personnel was the first national recruitment agency framework to combine locum doctors, nurses and allied health professionals under one agreement and the first framework agreement to be NHS Improvement approved for use by the NHS in England.
The CCS Multidisciplinary Temporary Healthcare Personnel framework agreement was the first recruitment agency tender to provide a range of pay rates for temporary workers. Prior to this, all recruitment agency framework agreements provided a single rate for each temporary worker. This was difficult for the NHS and recruitment agencies to manage over a framework period of 4 years.
The new CCS approach to providing the NHS with a range of agency workers pay rates provided customers with greater flexibility to negotiate worker pay rates with temporary workers to secure the calibre and level of experience required for the role. Unfortunately, this benefit was cut short due to the implementation of the Agency Rules which reverted back to a single rate per temporary worker.
