Will 2021 see an end to public procurement?

The UK public procurement process dates back to 1958. The signing of the Treaty of Rome created a market place based on the free movement of goods, people, services and capital.

The fundamental principles of public procurement are transparency and equal treatment. It is therefore heart breaking (as a procurement professional) to see procurement best practice completely ignored in 2020.

This did however involve making more than one difficult decisions about where we spend our money and how we spend our resources but a good entrepreneur is one who knows when to quit throwing good money after bad.

It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious about things you cannot control.

Anxiety makes us want to run away from the cause. This may lead to regret and further anxiety afterwards.

The more you avoid the issue, the more anxiety provoking the issue becomes.
​Learning to cope with stressful situations by shifting your mindset to build self confidence, can make all the difference when it comes to managing your small business out of a financial crisis or global pandemic. The revelation your own mind set, (the stories you tell yourself), may be the reason for business failure, is a bitter pill to swallow.
